Este joven dominicano te trae un merengue contagioso, lleno de
energia y sabor. El sencillo "El Superheroe" ha sonado en
varias estaciones de radio y en
varias discotecas a puesto a todo el publico en pie para bailar con
ese ritmo tan contagioso que tiene el merengue de calle. Con
su primer album ya a la venta, KaraDura promete establecerse como
uno de los grupos merengueros mas importantes en la ciudad de Nueva
York. Su proximo album ya en labor, titulado "Merengue 4
Life" y esta vez bajo la direccion completa de Go-Latino Records,
promete traer aun mas calidad para demostrar todo el talento y sabor
que KaraDura te puede ofrecer. |

| Biografia | ||||
 Franklin Anthony Taveras, Jr. aka KaraDura,
was born in Manhattan on July 29, 1980 to parents Cristina Peña and
Franklin Antonio Taveras. Little did the world know that one day
Franklin would become one of New Yorks hottest rising Latin stars. At
the age of just 17, Franklin “Kara” as called by friends fell in love
with the art of music, with merengue being his main focus. As the years
progressed so did his love for music. Determined to one day become a
star in the Latin industry he started out as a percussionist for local
groups such as Bajando Fino
and La Creacion Del Caribe. Kara did not stop there. With lots of time &
dedication soon dancing background and doing choreography for multiple
groups, one being, Mission 005. One of his signature marks was taking
the traditional Kenton mania style of dance to a much more modern level.
All of his accomplishments were not in vain. Due to his unique style he
was later lead to singing choruses and creating choreography for
infamous groups such as, Alex Rogers, Banda Calor, Chiko Malo, Los
Hermanos Franco, Mambo De Chala, Zombra Negra aka Oro Blanco, Banda
Soberbia, Tony Swing, Mambo De Chokolate and Orlando Conga. Experiencing touring to such states as Florida, Boston, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and more. With the support provided by his mother, who has been there with him from the start of his endeavors showing himself esteem and pride allowing him to be confident in what he does; thus allowing Kara to put together ideas on how to add to the merengue scene. Gaining experience and adding together all the elements needed to move crowd, KaraDura has put his heart and soul into his soon to be release Cd, “KaraDura… Me Konoses?” With the love of his fans and the ability to be versatile, look out for him to be at a city near you making sure to leave his mark! Now at the age of 26, KaraDura is a man determined to explode on the Latin scene and give his people music not only to listen to, but to also dance too!!!!! In the words of KaraDura.
